well after a hectic week trying to get a letter to authorise the boy to play rugby we finally managed to get it - had to go private but hey ho never mind and i now have a disc with a picture of his spine on it - apparently there were no fractures - its all a developmental thing but its handy to know for future reference.

got another order for a leather item - so all good and im booked in at an arts and crafts fair in december.

spent another lovely weekend in lancaster - such a beautiful city and such wonderful people - up there again in a fortnight - whoo whoo.

gonna get busy now making stuff - got a mirror frame to make in red leather so that will be good :)

well the new business is underway - for those interested the website is www.rockchickdesigns.co.uk. I have already got some orders - which is a blessing. I have a lovely new man in my life. I met him at a friends record label launch although I have known him for some time through an online radio station :). He lives in a gorgeous part of the country - right near the lake district, and when i say near - when i say near i mean you can see it from his house.

The boy has recovered from his motorbike accident and is playing for essex again and the mens team at the manor. He is also taking driving lessons and has his own car. the house is now looking lovely and we are both very very happy hear.

my oldest niece is pregnant again and this baby is due in february - cant wait.

the songwriting is going well - spent a week in poland with my friends band, doing sound and wrote a couple of songs - so that was great.

what else is happening - well i am helping out on previously mentioned radio station - trying to get funding and acting as an administrator to help out.

guess i had better get on with cutting out bits and pieces so that i can take them with me up north - have to have something to do while he is at work - cant wait to get on the road and be with him again :)

long time no blog - well here goes - one of the reasons for lack of blog was due to the boy coming off his motorbike at 50mph and being rushed to hospital with suspected spinal injuries on account of him being unable to feel his feet - all turned out ok in the end - his fractured spine was not in fact caused by the accident but by rugby - the funniest thing was seeing him with his ipod touch, i phone 4 and macbook pro in the hospital - all of which had to be operated with him laying flat on his back - very amusing for me. also amusing was the wheelchair rota that we tried to get his mates to sign up to - they were all horrified at the thought he might be in a wheelchair.

Leather making is going well and i have sold a couple of things - website is now under construction so hopefully in the not too distant future i will get that up and running.

Got a weekend away at a rock festival from 6-8th august - whoopee and then im off to poland touring with a friends band - cant wait for that. even more surprising was the fact that one of my songs got played on a radio station a couple of weeks ago and now people want the cd - so need to get my co writers arse in gear and get that sorted.

the irish country singer is being a little distant which is annoying me intensely - but hey im too busy to worry too much.

so onward and upward - maybe this time next year i will have my own burgeoning leather accessories business and a singing career to boot lol

Having picked up his scooter on 16th June - the boy rode it for two days and decided that it wasnt fast enough for the A12 - which is fair enough - I had warned him lol. So last Friday found us back at the shop part exchanging his 50cc for a 125 - its very nice and I only lost £600. So now he has a new bike - not bad at 17 - two brand new vehicles in one week.

I have progressed with the leather work - I have now made a belt (my dad Father's day present), a pot to put all my leather work stuff in and a round pot for the boy to put stuff in. Yesterday I bought a huge white skin to make a guitar strap with (my man is most happy that I am making this for him and it will match his guitar) - only thing is what will I do with the rest of the white leather - christening gifts come to mind as do items for those into minimalism. I also bought a whole load of new tools to use on the leather - cant wait to use them.

So today finds me making a guitar strap and delivering it to the owner on Sunday - can't wait - havent seen him since the middle of May on account of him being on tour and just generally busy.

I am also off to Poland in August with a friends band - three gigs a day for 8 days - hopefully the voice will hold out and all I need to do now is learn the guitar parts so I can help out with the playing as well. And I have been asked to speak at a women's conference in November in Kenya - that will be 25 talks in 8 days - not sure about that one - but we will see - I have a couple of weeks to make up my mind - so not to much pressure there.

Lets see what else - oh yeh the embarrassing dancing last Saturday - hmmm - my mates band really should only perform in pubs with seats otherwise they will have my dancing inflicted on them again and again and again lol.

So guess I had better get on with the guitar strap - think I might rename this blog - although for the most part I am still on the edge of reason - most of my friends think I have already tipped over and am now in a world of complete fantasy.

Oh and if anyone reading this wants to order a leather item feel free - I can cost it for you and at the moment I have black, tan and white leather - so a choice of colour - although if you fancy something a llittle more outrageous I can get red, purple, blue, dark brown, in fact almost colour you fancy - so onward and upward ......................

well the course went really well on friday and I now have orders for a number of items, including a couple of belts and guitar strap - marvellous. The nature of the course - leather working - and what did i make - a beautiful leather corset (a rather bad picture of said corset). It was great fun and i thoroughly enjoyed myself. So now all I have to do is get my sorry arse down to the leather suppliers and the tool suppliers.

Irish country music is becoming my favourite music - this is a sad fact - i find myself listening to radio stations that specialise in the genre - I hope the gentleman concerned understands the sacrifice that I am making - he has now told me how much he likes me :) - cant wait to see him again - although bearing in mind he only works at weekends it does seem to be inordinately difficult to make arrangements - however if all else fails i will definitely be seeing him in northampton on 27th. Admittedly he is recording the other days of the week so I shouldn't be too harsh I guess.

Today the boy is taking his CBT and tomorrow he has his first driving lesson and in the afternoon we are off to buy a scooter - watch out romford and east london is all i can say. His own transport is now a necessity as his construction course in september is in rainham - and now we are investigating architect degrees because he can go on to do that after his btec - he seems quite excited about the course and his future prospects.

Wel i guess i had better get on - housework to do and things to make - and txts to send lol

my niece's wedding was fantastic - she looked beautiful. i thoroughly enjoyed catching up with anyone and cant wait to meet up with them some more over the next few weeks

i have booked myself onto a course - i shall divulge the nature of the course at some later date when i am sure that I am going to pursue the whole idea, but I am very excited.

Well my 40 year old friend has managed to survive - he was so pleased with his presents from me - he cant stop smiling - he had his party on sunday - unfortunately i couldnt go but he brought round some food from it on Monday - absolutely delicious curries - the boy thoroughly enjoyed them.

Irish country music is definitely growing on me lol

so being unemployed is not all that bad - I have bought the most luxurious bed - it is marvellous - ive never spent that much on a single piece of furniture but it is soooooo comfortable. A friend was 40 this week and it seems to have hit him rather hard - poor thing it really does seem to be a bit of a shock to him that he has entered the same decade as me.

went to my nieces hen night on saturday - a tame affair for me - i wasnt drinking - everyone else was and as usual it was fun to watch them getting progressively more drunk. My younger niece was mortified when a guy guessed our ages - me being 38 and her being 36 - she even sent me a text the next mornign saying how mortified she was

this morning i am off to makro to get a couple of bbqs for the church bbq the weekend after next - which also includes the appearance of a friends heavy rock band at the church - and for some strange reason i invited them to stay at mine and offered full english breakfast on sunday - oh dear what was i thinking.

the garden is now looking lovely and i have made the most of the lovely weather and developed a lovely tan - want to look healthy for the wedding on friday.

life is so good and i am taking stock of my life - which to be honest couldnt be better
