Saturday night was a scream - and that was just the journey there. I went with a work colleague who had agreed to drive. I spent the afternoon trying to decide what to wear - this is surprisingly difficult seeing as i have very few clothes left to wear - everything has now got really much too big. Anyway got a look together in the end - I think the two glasses of wine really helped. The we were off an hour later than anticipated, but hey it didnt look too far. Then as we drove towards the blackwall tunnel the realisation came that neither of us had a map and that the only instructions we had were based on leaving central london by the A23. Luckily i vaguely remembered that the A23 crossed the A205 so round the south circular we went. I discovered on this journey that my driver has anger management issues and is prone to breaking sharply at the sight of speed cameras. By the time we arrived it was getting on for 9. This was slightly awkward coz our plan had been not leave at 9.30 - colleague wanted to go to pics and i had the chance of seeing a friend. Any way we didnt leave and i spent the night dancing away to some good 80s tunes along with some 60s and 70s as well.
Sunday brought the first round of the Essex cup for the boys rugby team. He was on the subs bench due to the broken thumb and the need to ensure that it is healed by the time the County team start training. Unfortunately due to another injuries and the fact that it was warm and players were flagging he ended up on the pitch playing as flanker. I say unfortunately - he was obviously over the moon.
Then after a text exchange with a good friend which left both of us upset i was off round CGs for a gossip. Said friend then rang me at CGs and we had a chat and sorted a few things out. I am beginning to think that all relationships are on the whole too difficult and am considering retreating to a convent. And one where you live in solitude. i will discuss with CG tonight when i pop round to massage her daughters injured ankle.... I think she may disuade me.......... I wonder are nuns aloud rabbits
